Many people suffer from a variety of allergies that can be amplified indoors. Poor ventilation and poor air filtration devices can lead to an accumulation of indoor allergens and allergic reactions. Allergic reactions can lead to serious health issues…and are just plain annoying. Have you considered allergy testing for your home?

An indoor air quality assessment can show you what you are breathing in. It can then determine your overall indoor air quality and provide you with real data on where you need to improve your indoor air. Before you buy and air purifier you should considered having an indoor air quality assessment that has a test for indoor allergens.

Top 5 Indoor Allergens:

  1. Mould growth and airborne mould spores
  2. Airborne fine dust
  3. Pet allergens
  4. Rodent allergens
  5. Dust mite allergens

Many of the above indoor allergens are assessed in our regular indoor air quality testing protocols. Mould and fine dust along with ventilation and air filtration is always part of our indoor air quality assessments.

We now have the capability for an optional longer term indoor air quality assessment where we leave a monitor behind for 3-5 days that collects airborne particles for laboratory analysis. This is then sent off to a lab for allergen testing to determine airborne mould allergens, pet allergens, rodent allergens as well as to see if there is a presence of dust mite activity.

We will then also assess your HVAC system and also determine if you have proper ventilation and filtration. With that information at hand we can the better provide specific recommendations on what ventilation and air purification systems would be best suit your needs.

Don’t just buy an air purifier hoping that this will make you feel better. Have an indoor air quality assessment performed.

If you have any of these indoor allergy symptoms…you need and indoor air quality test.
